Stayed at home with our terrified dogs as the rockets red glare and the bombs bursting in the air happened all around us. My sister Maxine came over and we had a wonderful summer cook out even though the day was somewhat cloudy and cool. We shut ourselves up in the house in the evening, but even that didn't help Sailor who was the most frightened of the three dogs of all the fireworks that were happening all around us. We were able to get Heartman and Guido out for pictures but Sailor chose to stay in the house where it was safe.
