It was a rainy day in Liverpool, but as you can see by Marlene's smile it didn't dampen our spirits much. We didn't take an excursion here, but confined ourselves to walking around the port area of Liverpool, not far from where the ship docked.
This building, which I believe was called the "Liver" building dominated the city, with its tall spires, and "Liver Birds" on the top.
A close- up of the so called "Liver Bird" that sits on top of the spires of the Liver Building. The bird is actually a made up non existent bird.
In addition many old buildings here, there were several modern ones as well including this modern design museum building.
No visit to Liverpool would be complete without a visit to something related to the Beatles. We went through an attraction called The Beatles Story.
A reproduction of The Cavern, in Liverpool, where the Beatles first performed.
We also went through the great Liverpool Museum, which had the "Lion" pictured above, one of the first steam locomotive engines.
And we saw the actual colorful ferry across the Mersey.
A great, although wet, visit to Liverpool.
