Winter Vacation Part 3 - Disney World February 21, 2015

Final stop on our winter vacation was Disney World. This is where we experienced one of the few glitches on our trip. Our plan was 3 hours late because of fuel issues, the plane had too much fuel for the short hop to Orlando from Miami. It took the ground crew several hours to balance the fuel load and we were actually taken off the plane for about 10 minutes and re-boarded for the short trip. This did cause us to lose our dinner reservations, but we did make the fast pass to watch the fireworks at Epcot. They were impressive, and hard to believe they do this production every night.
The next day we set out to enjoy Disney World. We made it to all 4 parks and were happy that we made the decision to purchase the package that allowed us to park hop and visit more than one park on the same day. We stayed at the Disney Boardwalk Inn, which was very nice and provided great transportation or an easy walk to Disney Hollywood and Epcot. The buses got us to Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom as well as Downtown Disney.
Above I am at Epcot with the dome and the monorail in the background.
We watched the show based on the Raiders of the Lost Ark and demonstrating the stunts that were performed in the moving. Above they are moving that famour rock ball back into place for the next stunt.
We even saw John Wayne at the Disney Hollywood resort and watched the Beauty and the Beast Stage production below.
Animal Kingdom was amazing. I had never been there and wished we had even more time there.
If you look closely at this picture below, you can see a hippo snoozing. Yes, that is a real live hippo, they can go for 5 minutes at a time before they need to stick their head up and get some air!
By  far some of the most amazing shots were of the lowland gorillas. Here you have Mamma gorilla with her baby.
The baby gorilla could melt your heart it was so sweet.
Below is a huge silver-back that was giving us the eye. He pretty much ignored everyone and was looking for something to eat.
No visit could be complete with out the necessary picture of the Magic Kingdom.
We did so much at our visit to Disney World. It was a whirlwind 4 nights. We tried to hit all the major attractions, but you could spend days there and not do the same things twice.
The end of our Winter Vacation 2015, it is a trip that Martin and I will talk about for a long time!
