Martin and I took the day off today and we went to our local Christmas tree farm and got the Noble Fir for our living room. I decorated half the house last weekend and Martin got the lights up on the house too. So it wasn't as exhausting to just have the living room tree to decorate. I love that first look at the tree with the lights on, so festive. I started feeling a bit of Christmas spirit today. Below is a picture of Martin with a basket of goodies I bid on at work and won. Every year we have a silent auction of donated baskets to raise money to buy Christmas presents for kids who wouldn't be having a Christmas otherwise. The basket I won was based on the movie "Christmas Story". It contained some ornaments, a night light, DVD of the movie and a Department 56 Ralphies House. This may be the beginning of a new Christmas collection. It also contained two tickets to the play which we will attend on December 17th at a theatre in Portland.
