Look at these two, they mock me. Eyes wide open, it just about takes a special license to operate them. No more plain old detergent or dryer sheets, I bow to the monthly careful maintenance in hopes that these two can last even half as long as my other trusty pair. OK, I will attempt to read the manual, and head to the store for that special HE detergent and let the washing begin. Boy these two better be good.

Good bye Old Faithful Friends - Washer and Dryer that is!
For 16 years this pair has tirelessly served me at my beck and call. No complaints when I loaded them down with dirty dog beds or large quilts. They put up with my abuse; accidentally ripping a knob off with some piece of clothing or changing detergent without explanation, or what ever item I threw in them including tennis shoes. The washing machine probably could have agitated on for a bit, but the dryer had given up on its duties taking me about 4 hours to dry a load. So patiently with Martin's budgeting abilities we saved up for the new set which cost about 3 times what I paid for this sturdy pair. So with sadness I watched what was familiar and easy to use get loaded on a truck this afternoon. It was nothing short of a miracle that the new set could be delivered the day after I purchased it. I really haven't had time to adjust to the idea of these newcomers.
