We were able to get our Christmas trees this weekend, our dog tree on the left is an artificial tree that we put up in our great room. The ornaments are all unbreakable and the tree comes with lights already on it. Three pieces to put together and you are ready to go. We also have a real tree in our living room. We went to Farrell's Tree Farm in Washougal on Sunday and cut down an 8' Noble Fir. We also got a wreath for our front door. It took us most of Sunday afternoon to get the lights and ornaments on, and I finished up with some old glass ornaments that were my parents. We also like to buy ornaments from the places we go when we vacation, so we had fun adding the ornaments from the east coast to the tree. Still no lights on the house yet, so we will see if there is any time this coming weekend.
I also bought a new orthopedic dog bed size XL this weekend, both Guido and Heartman love it, but Sailor is still afraid of it. I saw him getting on it tonight, but he saw me watching and got up and came over for a head scratch instead. We are in the midst of a cold snap here, down to 14 degrees tonight. This sends all of the Pacific North westerners into a tail spin, they can't wear their shorts and flip flops, though some of still do. My sister Maxine fell on her covered deck trying to thaw out her humming bird feeder. She managed do her grocery shopping and run errands before she went to the MD and found out she cracked a rib. Not much they can do for it, so she keeps moving and reaches for the Ibuprofen. We are hardy Midwestern stock.
