Vaccinated Summer

By March of 2021 we were finally able to get our second COVID Shot.  Had to travel up to Longview for it, but it was well worth it.

Being Vaccinated meant we could finally see the grand kids after a year absence

We continue to do a daily walk, usually of about 4 miles, but we now have developed 4 or 5 different routes to keep it interesting.  One thing we enjoy about our walks is watching the different wild life we see along the way.  We have watched these Ospry build their nests and raise their young for a few years now.  This year a Goose stole their regular nest that they have had for a couple of years and they had to build a new one on top of the railroad bridge across the Washougal River.

Norrie and Emmie celebrated their 5th Birthday in April.  Here they are waiting for their special Birthday Treat.

We had an incredible heat wave at the end of June reaching temperatures we've never seen before in this part of the country.  Marlene covered our tomato bushes with sheets to keep them from getting burned

We got a new selfie stick for our i phones, so got all dressed up to give it a try

The first time since we've been married that I was able to give Marlene a total surprise gift....her sister.  Maxine and Marlene hadn't seen each other for a year, but I plotted with Maxine to have her come down on the train for a surprise Birthday gift for Marlene, and boy was she surprised.  They had a great visit.

And we took our first out of town trip since the Pandemic, down to one of our favorite places, Las Vegas.  Here is Marlene striking a pose to imitate a new giant sculpture near the new T Mobile Arena.

One of the reasons we picked the hot month of August to visit Las Vegas, was to see another show by Joe Bonamassa, and boy it was a good one.

And another failed attempt to take a selfie with our two girls....They just refuse to sit still and smile.
