Dog Visitors

 After we lost Cina in February the house was very quiet without a dog around.  For the first time since Marlene and I had been married, we had no four legged companions around.  So in March and April we had some visitors come over from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.

 Our first guest was Astara.  She just spent the night, but boy was she excited to be here, even if it was just for one night.

She quickly made herself at home, and shared our bed at night, but didn't leave us much room.

Our next guest stayed longer.  We fostered Sharlene the Shar Paei for over a month until she found a forever home, with a wonderful new Mom.

She was a great dog, but we discovered that she didn't like to be left alone much.

Sometimes we called her squishy, because of the way she liked to sleep sometimes

These guys were fun to have around and they helped fill the empty dog space in our home for a while.
