Remembering Mom on Mother's Day

Hard not to think about where you have come from and how much influence that your mother has had on your life today. My mom was probably the classiest woman I have ever met, and I am not talking about material things; I am talking about what really matters, how you carry yourself through your life and how you treat others. Above is my aunt Julia on the left, my uncle Ray and my mom Dorothy Alyce Nyman Sassali on the left.
Above is a picture of my Mom taken on the family farm in Wisconsin. My sister Maxine resembles her so much at this age!  Below my Mom as a young woman, probably a newly wed.
This is the beautiful woman that caught my father's eye and resulted in a whole new generation of Sassali's.
My mother and I circa 1989, I love my perm! This was taken when I returned to Rockford to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. They were married nearly 56 years before my Mom left us.
Happy Mother's Day Dot! I am so proud to be your daughter.
