There are 3 things you need to take pictures of fireworks. A camera that can take shots in low light conditions, and a tripod...oh the third thing is a willingness to use the tripod. I had the first two tonight when I took these shots in my front yard of the fire works that were going over the Columbia River a few blocks from our house. Without the tripod you can get some rather abstract effects.
