Last Sunday in March 2010

Nice picture of Jerry taken when he came out to Washington for our wedding. I wish I could come out to Illinois with Maxine at the end of April. She and Paul, Lisa and Ann are taking the train out the last week in April. So far the timing hasn't worked out, so we haven't yet managed to have the surviving siblings all together in Illinois since the early 90's. I would hope we could do it again in the 21st century!
The most recent picture I have of the three of us. So far no convincing Jerry and Peg to come out for another visit. I'll keep working on them!
Looking at old pictures, this one was taken at a birthday celebration for me at Emerald Downs. Emerald downs is an incredible race track out side of Seattle. Not to many tracks where they call the horses to the track with a bugle version of a Jimi Hendrix tune. When I was a kid,my father took me to Arlington Race track many times for my birthday, I guess it kind of stuck with me. Pictured Above is Martin, me, my sister Maxine, and my dear friend Florence. Florence and I met 26 years ago when we worked together at a community mental health center. She was unofficial mother of the bride at my wedding to Martin. Unfortunately she has had some significant medical issues in the last year and is living in an adult family home in NW Vancouver.
Martin and I are trying to decide what to do for my 60th birthday in August. We spent his 60th in Las Vegas, but I would like to do something else. Part of the determining factors will be the availability of dog sitters. We usually have someone come to our house and stay. Much easier than trying to board them, most kennels don't have runs big enough!
