Our Anniversary

Today is our fifth anniversary and we both worked, but went out to dinner at a restaurant in Vancouver where we had never been before. It is called Lapellah and is known for cooking all meals over wood fire. We had a four course meal. An appetizer of artichoke and spinach with pita bread, all nice and warm. I had a Caprese salad that was wonderful, heirloom tomatoes and home made mozzarella. Martin had the special salad of the day with figs and goat cheese. Martin had citrus chicken and I had tuna. The entree came with two sides, choices of grilled potatoes and vegetables. For dessert we had a cherry turnover with a scoop of almond ice cream, wonderful meal and reasonably priced. We will go there again. Martin bought me a Murano glass heart necklace and I bought him a couple CDs; new running shoes for our trip; and a cast iron grill. A very nice evening together. Martin is watching an episode of the Sopranos and I decided to update the blog, though I am able to watch the show out of the corner of my eye while I type.Very tough day and I am so glad it is Friday!
