Our last day of a fantastic cruise, and what a fitting ending...Paris. Our ship actually landed in Le Havre, which was a 3 hour bus ride through the beautiful french countryside, but it was well worth the drive.
We knew we were getting close to Paris because we could see the Eiffel Tower for miles away. In the part of Paris that the tower is located in, it is the tallest structure around.
And you just can't help taking lots of pictures of it, even though you have seen pictures of it a thousand times, the reality of actually seeing it is hard to explain.
But there are lots of other amazing sights in Paris besides the Eiffel Tower, including these gold leaf coated statues on the bridge leading to the Eiffel Tower.
The highlight of our short time in Paris was a river lunch cruise down the River Seine. The lunch was great, and here Marlene toasts the Parisians sitting along the river bank.
And speaking of wine...we got plenty of it with our lunch.
Lots of amazing building that we could see from the river cruise including the National Assembly building, pictured above, equivalent to our National Capitol Building.
And of course the Iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral
Another view from the rear of the boat as we made our way down river.
And then a quick stroll down the Champs-Élysées for a little shopping.
Our final shot in Paris was actually taken by another person rather than another great selfie. A fitting ending for an amazing trip.
